My MAC Mineralize Skinfinish collection

MAC's Mineralize Skinfinishes are shimmery face powders that can be used as blushes or highlight. I think these products are really special, not only are they beautiful to look at, but a light dusting adds polish to your look. I tend to use a Crown Duo Fibre Blush brush to apply just the right amount of product - too much product can look a little too frosty!

I own Stereo Rose, By Candlelight, Porcelain Pink, Lightscapade and Blonde:

Stereo Rose is a pink coral with gold and pink shimmers. It has a 'metallic' sheen and looks really pretty as a blush, particularly with a tan. I bought this from the limited edition 'In The Groove' collection in July 2010. I would definitely re-purchase this as it's a unique, pretty colour.

By Candlelight
is a pink toned champagne with shimmers. I prefer to use it as a highlight as it is very shimmery. I bought this from the limited edition 'In The Groove' collection in July 2010. By Candelight is quite a dupe-able colour but the quality of it is fantastic and I would re-purchase it.

Porcelain Pink is a light peachy pink with gold veining. It's quite powdery and doesn't give enough coverage to be a blush, so I tend to use it as a highlight. I bought this from the limited edition 'Fall Colour' collecton in October 2011. I probably wouldn't re-purchase this colour as it isn't as strongly pigmented as the other MSFs.

Blonde is an 'ombre' of soft rose pink to medium rose pink. Lately I've really enjoyed swirling the colours together and wearing it as a blush, and as a highlight over a matte pink blush. I bought this from the limited edition 'Naturally' collection in February 2011. It is sold out online but our local counter may have one available! I would re-purchase this colour.

Lightscapade is a white/beige with gold and pink shimmers. It's a really pretty highlight but to be honest I was slightly disappointed with the veining. Mine has some faint blue, pink and yellow veins but I was expecting the strong veining seen in the original 2006 version (see here). Really, the veining doesn't make that much of a difference and the colour ends up being the same light white-ish colour. I bought this from the limited edition 'Fall Colour' collecton in October 2011. I probably wouldn't re-purchase this colour, I think half of the excitement was seeing what veining it would have, although it is a pretty highlight.
