My top perfumes

I love picking up a new perfume whilst on my way through duty free, so I thought this post might give you ladies who are lucky enough to be going on holiday this year some ideas! And those who aren't, you poor thing, you definitely deserve to treat yourself to a new fragrance!

I would love to offer you all a good sniff of my perfume collection, but unfortunately that's not possible. Instead, please accept my descriptions!

Narciso Rodriguez 'For Her' (eau de parfum) - I picked this up on my way to NY last year, after smelling it on my friend and falling in love! This is a very sexy, grown up and 'womanly' scent. It is a powdery floral that smells very expensive. It has a slight musky-ness about it and it lasts very well. I think this would make a beautiful signature scent, the kind where you leave a hint of fragrance behind you as you walk!

Vivienne Westwood 'Naughty Alice' (eau de parfum) - This is my absolute favourite perfume that I wear daily. I bought it blind as soon as it was released, on the basis that it had notes of violet (I love violet!) and the artwork was pretty. Luckily it turned out to be amazing! I'd describe it as a sweet yet soft powdery floral with hints of musk, rose and violet. It works really well for day time as well as evenings. I can see this being re-purchased for years to come!
£31.45 for 30ml at Escentual / £45.05 for 50ml at Escentual

Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' (eau de toilette) - This was given to me as a christmas present in 2010. I asked for it as I knew it was a cult favourite, however I was a little surprised by the scent. It's a very 'fresh' floral, and rather than being sweet it's quite crisp. There are notes of vanilla, strawberries and violet which I like, but overall this is a very 'green' fragrance that I'd reserve for summer wear only.
£37.50 for 50ml at Debenhams

Vera Wang 'Princess' (eau de toilette) - I think I bought this on my way to Paris last year! This is a lovely sweet and fruity floral fragrance. It has a vanilla base yet remains quite 'juicy'. It's very girly and of course the packaging looks beautiful on your dressing table!
£29.95 for 30ml at Cheap Smells / £34.95 for 50ml at Cheap Smells

Paco Rabanne 'Ultraviolet' (eau de parfum) - This was my signature scent at school and smelling it actually takes me back to when I first met my boyfriend in 2005. I love how perfumes can do that! Ultraviolet is a oriental floral with notes of vanilla and violet. I think this is quite an unusual scent, in a good way! I used to receive a lot of compliments on this fragrance and I think it will be one that is always in my collection.

Paco Rabanne 'Black XS' (eau de toilette) - This is a very, very sweet and juicy fragrance. It's very young and fruity with notes of vanilla and rose. It has a slightly spicy pink peppercorn kick which I love. If you're not into sweet perfumes avoid this one at all costs! I don't think I'll repurchase this once it's used up, as pretty as it is - I think this is more of a 'teenage' scent and I'm pushing mid-twenties now!

I hope you have enjoyed this post! Do you enjoy sweet perfumes? Are you obsessed with violet like I am? Let me know in the comments!
